Hayley Orrantia, an American actress, singer and songwriter. She is best known as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy series "The Goldbergs". Her primary focus is as a performer. Since she was 9 years older, she started playing around with music. After she turned 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough that she began professionally trained. At 13, she began creating songs. She recorded her debut album in the age of 14. It has been non-stop ever since. Orrantia was born in America but with Hispanic roots. Although she spoke only English growing up and had never been to Mexico Orrantia is proud of her Hispanic heritage. By learning Spanish and writing songs she strives to maintain the spirit of her culture. One of her songs was the creation of a Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. Orrantia had been selected from YouTube videos and received the four "yeses," from judges who were in Seattle at the time of live auditions. She was originally a solo performer, but in the course of "Hollywood Week", three other female performers were added to a group to continue the auditions. The live performances were held in the 5th week.
